Meet Your Librarians

I'm Tara Christian, one of your Wilson Central Library Media Specialists.

I'm happy to be a Wilson Central Wildcat! I am a long-time veteran of Wilson County Schools, having been a classroom teacher for 22 years, a K-8 librarian for one year, and have been working at the high school level since 2019.  I hold a B.S. Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Library Science.  I love working with high-schoolers helping them become smart researchers and life-long readers and learners.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Camron, and we live in Lebanon.  We have two married daughters, and two precious grandbabies!

I love to read!  Some of my favorite books growing up were the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder and Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott.  Some all-time favorites include Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls and Gone With the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell.  My more recent favorites include The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah, The Rules of Survival, by Nancy Werlin, the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series by Jenny Han, and The Serpent King, by Jeff Zentner. I really love reading, so these are just some of my favorites that come to mind.  I hope you have so many favorites it's hard to list them too!

Please come by and say hi, so we can get to know you in the library.

I'm Cindy Sharp, your newest Wilson Central Library Media Specialist.

Go Wildcats! This is my 14th year teaching.  I started out as an elementary school librarian, then became an ESL teacher, then moved on up to high school last year.  I hold a a B.S. in Sociology with a Math minor and a Master's Degree in Information Science.  I look forward to working with high school students, connecting them to books they love and encouraging them to become life-long readers and smart researchers.

My husband Jeff and I have been married for 25 years and we have 3 sons.  Our oldest is a Metro Police Detective, our next oldest is in college in Ohio and our youngest is a student right here at Wilson Central.

Some of my favorite genres are biograpy, mystery, dystopian and realistic fiction.  I hope to see you in the library this year!
